Due to continued expansion and success, this exciting full service digital agency are looking to recruit a .Net Team Leader to work on Web and Internet based Projects within the web development team.

As the .Net Team Leader you will work closely with the development team, and other departments to ensure that client requirements are delivered. We are looking for really talented individuals that will really help to shape and improve the organisation as it continues to grow.

The ideal candidate will have a experience in .NET (ASP.NET and ideally VB.NET) and SQL Server, and ideally will have proven experience in line managing a team of .NET Developers. Being a more senior member of the team, you will be required to carry out performance reviews, trouble shooting, and attending high level meetings amongst a range of other responsibilities.

Desirable candidates will have experience of working for a Digital Agency specialising in Web/Internet based projects and running the full life cycle of a web/eCommerce/Internet project. In addition to managing projects you would be expected to research and test upcoming technologies and implementing them where they will be beneficial to the client and to the Agency.

An excellent eye for Design and concepts would be a distinct advantage.

I have a great role with a Large Gambling and Gaming company based in Surrey UK.

My client are looking for a Creative and Development Website Team Leader to join their well established organisation. The team currently consists of 6 people – 2 creative designers, 2 frontend developers, and 2 backend/CMS developers. You will manage the team’s performance and the day-to-day activities for the projects assigned to them, and help the team leaders in delivering new products according to the business requirement timeline.

The position will focus on HTML/CSS based websites as opposed to Flash based websites, so applicants must be very strong in these areas and will ideally have full life cycle experience.

Responsibilities will include:
· Development, maintenance and support of new functionalities
· Analysis of business and user requirements and production of functional specifications
· Project implementation from inception through development and support
· Testing and deployment
· Resolving problems on specific platforms

The person:

· Team leading, Creative and general optimisation experience (usability, accessibility, internal SEO, performance) are essential

· You will have an in-depth knowledge of HTML / CSS/ AJAX

· Exposure to Flash with PHP 5, Relational Database (Oracle preferred), Object Oriented software development would be advantageous.

This role is permanent and based in Surrey with good links to London

An exciting opportunity has presented itself at a leading web based services company based in West London, for a Senior Perl Developer.

THE POSITION:

As the Senior Perl Developer reporting to the Head of Development, the purpose of your position is to build and develop the company’s platform and associated systems as a member of the Development Team.

Your responsibilities will include:

· To work with the Development Team and other departments across project and the maintenance life cycles including:
- brainstorming and feasibility;
- requirements gathering and specification;
- deadline estimation and project management;
- unit testing and UAT.

· To deliver high quality software with appropriate test coverage and documentation.

· To be responsible for successful delivery of their software projects.

· To mentor other developers.

· To assist in maintaining the stability and suitability of the software platform for the business.

· To maintain design and coding skills in line with industrial best practices.

· Interacting with company employees at various levels

· Liaising with external contacts such as suppliers or clients as required.

THE PERSON:

Suitable candidates will be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and possess a strong attention to details with a clear focus on high quality of delivery. You will need to be an organised forward planner, with the ability to critically assesses your own performance.

To be considered for the position, you will ideally possess a degree in computer science or equivalent, be based within commutable radius of West London, and you must have experience of designing and maintaining large or complex systems using:
- OO Perl
- Linux
- MySQL
- Apache with mod_perl
- AJAX
Source control (such as CVS or Subversion).
Database design and query optimisation.
Unit testing.

Skills in the following areas would be desirable:
Java
Solr/Lucene or search algorithms.
Test driven development
Profiling
Experience with large data sets.

Candidates with a distinct advantage will be those with a proven record of developing web services delivering multi-million pages per month, demonstrating knowledge of the special architecture considerations to deliver scalable sites.
